Man shot as he tries to help

Two men are alleged to have brutally murdered a man in a Bratislava bar in the early hours of Saturday morning and then stuffed his body into the boot of a Mercedes Benz.

Peter L., 25, a businessman, and Peter K, 24, of a private security firm are alleged to have brutally beaten a man at the Kristal bar and then shot him in the mouth.

Fleeing the scene the two men bundled the corpse into the back of their car but were caught ten minutes later by police tipped of by witnesses in the bar.

Police said the man had been killed after stepping in to stop a fight.

They had originally throught the dead man, Peter J., was a gambler who owed the two men huge sums of money and had been killed after not paying off the debts.
