Police find cash stash and weapons

A 39 year old Hungarian man accused of robbing a bank escaped capture on November 12.

Laszlo Istvan Bitter was spotted in the village of Betliar. But after his car stalled he fled on foot.

Police recovered a scorpion firearm, a Luger pistol, bullets, two masks and dark glasses along with Sk600,000, $587, 8,850 Deutsche marks and more than 15,000 Czech crowns.

Police later searched Bitter's house and found Sk67,500 and took a number of items for forensic examination.
