EBRD approves part of SE credit

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved a credit line for power monolith Slovenské elektrárne (SE).

The project, approved by the bank November 15, gives a guarantee for a seven-year credit up to $75 million and a five-year credit worth $90 million, to be covered by long-term contracts SE has for electricity supplies for Slovalco. With Norsk Hydro the EBRD holds a majority stake in the Slovak smelting company.
