The American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia has raised more than Sk700,000 ($14,228) for charity from its 7th Annual Charity Drive
The money, raised in November, has been distributed to six charity organisations caring for orphans, abused women, elderly citizens, homeless, blind and terminally ill people.
In addition to the Charity Drive the chamber raised Sk500,000 ($10,162) for families of the victims of the September 11 attacks in the US.
The Chamber of Commerce will also be serving a lunch for homeless people December 12 at Mother Theresa Missionaries' of Charity.
