New threat to SPP sale

An unsettled debt of Sk1.2 billion ($24 million) owed to gas utility SPP by its trading firm Kerametal could affect the price a 49% stake in SPP fetches in an international tender, SPP sale advisor Credit Suisse First Boston has said.

The 49% stake could fetch as much as $3 billion for the state.
