Reader Feedback: Why not vote for someone you believe in?

If the Slovak people don't like their current officials why don't they vote for someone who they believe in? [Re: "Poll: Country on wrong path", News Briefs Vol.7 No.42, November 5-11].

I just read one of your articles and it said that only 24% of the people voted in an election! They were busy killing pigs and couldn't be bothered.

With an attitude like that they have no one to blame but themselves! I have been to Slovakia and find it a beautiful country with great people, but they have to show a less apathetic posture towards what is going on in their country.
