US Steel claims new investor on way

Belgian electro-technical firm Gilbos intends to set up a daughter company in Slovakia following a seminar on Slovak investment opportunities led by US Steel Košice, said a spokesman for the American company.

The steel company has run a series of tours in major European cities this year trying to attract more investors to eastern Slovakia. It has already brought a number of foreign companies to the region related to its own activities in Košice.
