Coca-Cola opens new packaging line in Lúka

A new packaging line and a new process for making small-pack juices were launched by Coca-Cola on August 27 in Lúka, a village near western Slovakia's Piešťany. The additions represent the third part of Coca-Cola's Lúka facility, which has been running since 1994 and employs almost 700 people. The production plant and distribution centre have now been joined in a single organization unit.

Coca-Cola Beverages Slovakia reported a turnover of 1.94 billion Slovak crowns in 1998, up 163 million crowns from the previous year.
