KDH member killed in head-on car crash

Blazej Krasňovský, vice-chairman for economy for the Christaian Democratic Movement (KDH) and a member of the FNM state privatisation agency, was killed in a car crash at 6:40 a.m. outside Nitra when the car he was a passenger in crashed head-on into a truck while trying to pass a group of cars. The crash involved a total of four vehicles and occurred on the No. 65 highway between Tesarske Mlyany and Zlate Moravce on August 17.

The driver of the car, Jan Rapasšky, 19, also died in the crash. After impact with the lorry, Rapasšky's car also hit a Škoda Felicia which then hit a Škoda Octavia.
