Mirbach Palace - 'The Ghosts'. Paintings and sculptures are presented under the title "The Vision and Fantasy of Fine Art". Gloom and depression became a theme in Slovak fine art by the end of 19th century. After that point, the themes of fantasy and depression became a phenomenon, especially noted in the works of Slovak painter Ladislav Mednyánszky. Ends August 29. Františkánske nám.

The gallery presents a series of portraits in the form of relief objects made from textile and artificial transparent material as well those which include the use of a photograph. Profil Gallery-'Karol Plicka - The Poet of Picture'. In the 1930's, photographer Karol Plicka revealed through pictures the world of Slovak village people with their domestic and working life, their traditional Slovak folk costumes and their children's games. Slovak National Gallery- 'Miloš Alexander Bazovský 1899-1968'. Paintings and drawings by Bazovský, an important name in 20th century Slovak modernism. Main gallery building. Ends September 19.
