Teenage Mum returns

THE TEENAGE mother of Košice's first baby of the year has returned to claim her baby after abandoning her. But the 19-year-old mum is upset that she will not get the Sk10,000 ($200) prize the city's mayor was going to give her.

The money will instead go directly to her child, to be spent on milk, clothing and other basic needs.

Local social services said that at the start of each month baby Veronika's mother will meet with them to decide what exactly her child needs and Sk1000 will be handed out to cover those needs.
