MPs cost five times more than in 1992

TEN years ago one member of parliament (MP) cost the state Sk120,000 ($2,600) per year, today the sum exceeds 1.3 million ($28,000). MPs now make five times more money that they did in 1992 when they earned Sk7,000 ($149). MPs are also set for another wage increase if parliament approves a new proposal later this year.
