Homosexual partnerships rejected

CABINET has unanimously voted against a proposed blueprint on registered partnerships for homosexual couples.

"There will never be a government in Slovakia which would pass such law and if there ever was, it would lead the country into decline," said Justice Minister and a Christian Democrat Ján Čarnogurský.

He said the legislation would "devalue heterosexual families".
