Strip clubs raided

A SPECIAL armed police unit launched a series of raids on strip clubs in the west Slovak district of Trenčín, causing panic in the clubs.

Ten clubs were raided in one night last weekend as more than 120 police arrested 45 people in connection with suspected prostitution at the clubs.

The raids came just days after residents in some Slovak towns protested against the presence of "erotic salons" in their towns.
