Nephew stabs uncle with bayonet

Horné Nemce

A 25-year-old man stabbed his 39-year-old uncle in the stomach with a bayonet after an evening of alcohol erupted into a violent argument. The victim's 20-year-old son (i.e., the perpetrator's cousin) then tried to call the police, but was deterred from doing so when his cousin, then brandishing an axe, began chasing him around the house and yard.

The uncle's wounds are expected to require 30 days of hospitalisation. The bayonet-and-axe-toting culprit has been detained at the Zvolen prison.
