Two killed in multiple car and bus accident

KOŠICE

2 people were killed, 3 are in critical condition and 19 were seriously injured in an auto accident which involved 6 cars and 2 buses between Šaca and Čečejovce (Košice district).

Ondrej H., a driver on the Košice-Rožnava bus line, rear-ended a Citroen Juniper with Nitra licence plates, driven by Robert S.. Ondrej H. then swerved into the westbound lanes and crashed head-on into a bus coming from Košice. Both buses were full of passengers, the first with holidaying students and the second bus with Eastern Steel Works (VSŽ) workers.

In total, 65 people were injured. Most of the injuries and both of the deaths occured among the bus passengers.
