Slovnaft increases fuel prices by 0.9 Sk per liter

Effective January 1, 1999, Slovnaft Bratislava increased fuel prices by 0.90 Sk per liter of gasoline as well as diesel fuel in its retail network of petrol stations operated by Slovnaft-Benzinol. The price hike is linked to a revision to the excise tax law on hydrocarbon fuels and lubricants that parliament adopted on December 18. The bill increases the excise tax on gasoline and diesel by 1000 Sk per metric tonne of gasoline and diesel fuel.
