BEARINGS producer INA Skalica more than doubled its profit last year, said the company's financial director Eva Jurkovičová. Profits in the firm saw a year-on-year rise of Sk265.9 million to nearly Sk464 million on revenues of Sk4.8 billion. Jurkovičová ascribed the increase to higher output, increasing demand and a high level of employee education.
Despite last year's growth, the company does not expect a further profit increase this year due to the construction of a third production hall. As Jurkovičová pointed out: "Because of high costs and a long launch period in the hall's production, it will bear fruit next year at the earliest".
Apart from bearings, the company also manufactures car components. INA Skalica employs 1,890 employees, 110 more than last year.
