Inflation hits six-year low

Inflation in February was 4.3 per cent year-on-year, the lowest monthly figure since a September 1996 showing of 5.7 per cent. A cabinet decision not to continue with price deregulation this spring was behind the data. Economists expect average inflation this year at 4.2 per cent.
