Reader feedback: As a Rusyn, I know how you feel

Dear Editor,

I loved the article ("Slovakia - isn't that in Yugoslavia?" By Susie Chambers, February 25 - March 3, Vol.8, No.7). Imagine what I go through in the US. I travel to Slovakia every summer to do some family research and visit my cousins. These questions are often asked of me: "Is it safe to go there?" "Aren't they bombing over there?" "I didn't know you were Slovenian." "Don't you mean Czechoslovakia?"

Imagine the look in their eyes when I tell them I am a Rusyn!
