The Justice Ministry has proposed that Slovakia’s maximum prison term be changed from 15 years to life in jail without parole. The ministry also proposes a ‘three strikes’ system in which people convicted of three violent crimes be jailed for life without parole. The bill goes today for first reading in parliament.
