Slovnaft officials will sign a crude oil supply contract with Iran's NIOC next month, the company's crude purchasing director Jaroslav Linkeš said on June 16. Linkeš added this was the first of half a dozen contracts Slovnaft would sign with Middle Eastern states, citing Syria, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Algeria as other potential suppliers. Slovnaft will sell its Iranian crude mostly to customers in western Europe, such as Spain, Italy or France, through its newly-established Slovnaft Supplies affiliate.
