Trade deficit grew 8.8bn Sk in April

The Slovak Statistical Office (ŠÚSR) said on May 26 that the April foreign trade deficit was 8.83 billion Sk compared with 6.31 billion in March. Overall imports in April were 38.62 billion Sk, down from March's 39.27 billion. However, overall exports in April were 29.79 billion Sk, while they reached 32.95 billion a month before. The April figures put the overall 1998 deficit at 25.4 billion Sk, unchanged compared to the same period last year.
