January industrial output grows 0.8% annually

Slovak industrial production in January rose by 0.8 percent annually in real terms, down from 1.7 percent growth last December, the Slovak Statistical Office (ŠÚSR) said on March 10. However, the January annual growth is higher than the 0.4 percent recorded in January 1997. On the other hand, the annual growth in construction output last January was 13.9 percent, more than double that of last December (5.8 percent) and almost triple the total for January 1997 (4.7 percent).
