Drunk cop crashes Mercedes

IGOR Březovják, 33, a member of the police headquarters anti-fraud division, crashed his Mercedes into a Skoda Fabia on March 17. He was found by traffic police to have 1.42 parts per thousand of alcohol in his blood, and is expected to be fired in the next few days. His name was published by the Interior Ministry as part of minister Ivan Šimko's 'name-and-shame' policy for drunk-driving police. The Slovak public this year has been outraged by a rash of drunk police drivers, who in accidents since January have killed or maimed half a dozen people.
