Slovakia’s largest bank, Slovenská Sporiteľňa (SLSP), last year recorded a net unaudited profit according to IAS of Sk1.15 billion, with total assets growing 7.2 per cent to Sk198 billion. The bank made a profit of Sk4 billion in 2000 after it released reserves to cover classified loans.
