New regional army brigade

ARMY chiefs of staff from regional neighbours Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland have signed a deal to create a multinational brigade that is eventually to be put at the disposal of Nato. Its headquarters will be in Slovakia's Topoľčany, although each country will house its own soldiers on its own soil and at its own expense. Poland will contribute 800 troops, Slovakia 500 and the Czech Republic 450. The language of communication will be English.
