Czechs and Slovaks resist EU restrictions

THE DEPUTY prime ministers of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Vladimír Špidla and Ivan Mikloš, have criticised a proposed delay by European Union countries in allowing the free movement of people from new member countries after 2004.
