Slovak Robin Hood on screen

POLISH director Agnieszka Holland will make a feature film about Jánošík, the legendary Slovak bandit who stole from the rich and gave to the poor, based on a Slovak screenplay by Eva Borušovičová.

"The True Story of Jánošík and Uhorčík" will be co-helmed by Holland's daughter, Kasia Adamik, and will be shot in Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic next autumn.

The film will be in Slovak language with English subtitles. Castings for actors and extras are being held across the three countries.
