Nato to expand by seven countries

THE CZECH news agency ČTK has cited a Nato diplomatic source as saying the Nato alliance will likely expand by seven countries at the Prague summit in November this year, including the Baltic states, Slovakia and Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria.

The source said that agreement with Russia over giving Moscow a role on the Nato council had eased complications over such a wide expansion.
