Crown tumbles after NBS comments

THE SLOVAK crown in three days fell 30 haliers against the euro, its reference currency, and fluctuated by up to one per cent after central bank governor Marián Jusko warned on April 26 that the currency's strength was not backed up by economic fundamentals, and that the bank would tighten monetary policy further if the trade and fiscal deficits did not improve.
