Crowd curses PM

A crowd of people in Bradle, where Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda had come yesterday to celebrate historical figure Milan Rastislav Štefánik, began cursing the PM after the ceremony and according to a journalist present might have attacked him if not for Dzurinda’s security guards. Roman Tarabus of the state-owned TASR news agency also said a Government Office official asked him not to write of the conflict, and that when he submitted his story, including a transcript of what the hecklers shouted and what the PM said in response, much of it was cut out by his editors.

“The TASR agency should write about things that happen officially,” said Zenon Mikle of the Government Office press department.
