Viasystems leaning towards Kechnec

THE US firm Viasystems has indicated it will invest Sk600 million ($12.8 million) in building an electro-technical factory in an industrial park in eastern Slovakia's Kechnec.

The investment, in which Viasystems will settle beside US connectors maker Molex, will create 480 new jobs. Two Belgian investors - Gilbos and Kuenz-SK - have also said they will be settling in Kechnec, investing Sk1.7 billion and creating 110 jobs.
