Unemployment drops to 12.8 % in October

The unemployment rate in Slovakia was 12.8 percent at the end of October, a 0.1 percent decline from September and a 0.84 percent increase compared to October 1996. Of the 334,327 people unemployed, 21.94 percent were receiving unemployment benefits, a 1.15 percent increase over September.
