November, 17 Remembered


On November 16, several hundreds of students on Námestie slobody (Liberty Square) in front of the government's seat commemorated the eighth anniversary of the Velvet Revolution that sparked in Bratislava one day before the "official" outbreak in Prague. Student solidarity and desire for freedom rocked the foundation of the Communist regime and brought about change.
