Manufacturer to export 79.6% of output

The engineering company ZŤS Strojárne Inc., Námestovo, a member of the Dividend Group, produces components for the production of tractors John Deere Mannheim, URSUS Warsaw and ZETOR.

Of the company's total output last year, 78.4 percent was exported, and an increase to 79.6 percent is expected for this year. In 1993, when the joint stock company was established, the firm lost 40 million Sk. But the decline has been arrested, and in 1996 the company made a 4 million Sk profit.

Similar growth was seen in investments; in 1993, ZŤS Strojárne invested 5 million Sk, while last year's investments were 20 million Sk and this year it will be some 50 million Sk. Since 1993, the company has increased its employees from 445 to 880 people.
