Unemployment drops in May

The unemployment rate was 12.32 percent at the end of May, down from 12.96 percent at the end of April, the National Labor Office reported. The number of unemployed declined to 320,530, and the number of those receiving unemployment benefits declined to 79,649 people. The highest unemployment rate was recorded in Rimavská Sobota (26.6 percent), Trebišov (23 percent), and Revúca (22.6 percent) regions.
