Leasing contracts increasing rapidly

According to the Association of Leasing Companies (ALS), the volume of leasing contracts in Slovakia increased from 3.5 billion Sk in 1994 to 16.7 billion Sk in 1996. Of the total investments into fixed assets, 6.5 percent in 1994 and 14.1 percent in 1996 were covered by leasing, the latter figure placing Slovakia on par with the European average.
