Slovenské Lodenice plans to built 14 ships, and luxury yachts

Slovenské Lodenice Inc., Komárno (a shipbuilding company) made zero profit and produced goods worth 3.5 billion Sk in 1996, completing sixteen ships, mainly for German and Russian customers. This year, they plan to produce fourteen ships. It cooperates with a German company Wessels, which has provided design for ships and also guarantees loans to the company. In the long run, they want to increase their share of output for Russian customers. A supplementary production program should be the manufacturing of luxury yachts. An owner of a 34 percent controlling share of the company since August 1996 is Chirana Prema Inc., Stará Turá.
