German concern builds plant in Nové Mesto nad Váhom

The German concern Steag Micro Tech GmbH has incvested 120 million Sk into the construction of its new plant in Nové Mesto nad Váhom that will manufacture semiconductors and equipment for compact disc (CD) production. The company currently employs 50 people, with that figure expected to double by the end of 1997, according to company management.
