They deal with commercial law, contracts, loans, international transactions, and entering firms in the business register. They have one American lawyer and three Slovak lawyers who have Slovak and Canadian law degrees. Their clients are mostly large companies.
Altheimer & Grey is an American firm that opened in Slovakia in 1994. Between the Slovak and Czech Republics they have 11 lawyers, of which three are American. They deal with commercial and business law and are willing to help every kind of client.
Heller, Löber, Bahn & Partner is an Austrian firm dealing with commercial law, especially in the areas of banking and financial law. They say they can help set up a business in six weeks to two months. Two of their lawyers speak English. Jana Mikulášová speaks very good English.
Jankech & Kanka is a Slovak firm dealing with virtually every field of law. They have extensive experience in establishing companies and arranging licenses to conduct business in Slovakia. There are three lawyers. Alena Černejová speaks excellent English. Detvai, Ludik, Malý & Udvaros is a four-year-old Slovak firm specializing in business and commercial law. Of their 10 lawyers, two speak very good English.
