An investigation into the beating death of Roma Karol Sendrei last year at a Slovak police station has finished, and a district prosecutor is studying the file before deciding on laying charges. Sendrei, from the eastern Slovak town of Magnetizovce, was pronounced dead after spending a night in a police station with his two sons, chained to an iron bar. Seven police officers were later charged with torture, inhuman and cruel conduct; four remain in pre-trial custody.
