Dzurinda to sue Nový Čas tabloid

PRIME MINISTER Mikuláš Dzurinda has announced he will sue the Nový Čas daily paper for a report on a controversial tender for 35 new trains for the ŽSR state railways that was decided by the PM's brother, a ŽSR official.

The paper reported that the PM had appealed to the head of the Supreme Audit Office not to publish shortcomings it had found in the tender. The head of the office, Jozef Stahl, told the paper the railway commission had chosen a supplier that was Sk822 million ($17.5 million) more expensive than the nearest bid.
