Ivan Reguli, director-general of the section on public information at the Culture Ministry, on October 26 sent a letter to state firms on advertising in Slovak newspapers, Sme reported on November 9. The letter states: "Advertising is an important source of income for mass media. We presume that your organization can support the press that sympathizes with the Slovak government to a greater extent.
