Foreign trade surplus approaches $100 mil.

Slovakia's foreign trade surplus in September was 1.2 billion Sk ($41 million), while the country's total trade surplus since the beginning of the year was 2.8 billion Sk ($96 million). Exports were dominated by iron and steel, according to the Slovak Statistical Office. In the first nine months of 1995, Slovakia recorded a trade surplus with the EU, the Czech Republic and Germany but ran a deficit in trade with Russia.
