Foreigners pitch in for Russia in 1996

Foreign investment in Russia is expected to double next year to $2 billion, First Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Soskovets told a conference of university rectors in Moscow October 31, Interfax reported. But he added that domestic investment is down 18 percent from 1994 figures and has fallen an estimated 75 percent since 1990.
