Romania and Bulgaria urged to be removed from blacklist

The European Parliament passed a resolution on October 26 urging the European Commission to remove Romania and Bulgaria from the so-called blacklist of 101 countries for which strict visa requirements are to be enforced. Of the former communist countries that have associate agreements with the EU, only Romania and Bulgaria are included on the list.
