Pharmaceutical firms make more with less

Comparing the first half of this year to the same time the year before, the chemical and pharmaceuticals industry grew 12.4 percent in sales and exports by 15.1 percent. Moreover, gross revenue grew 45.4 percent and the value added 22.3 percent. The industry employed 2 percent less people, yet it had a 15.3 percent growth in labor productivity.
