Opposition divides...

A division among opposition parties in parliament deepened after the failed parliamentary special session, with Spoločna Voľba (Common Choice) - a coalition of the Party of the Democratic Left (SDĽ), the Slovak Green Party (SZS), Social Democratic Party of Slovakia (SDSS) and the Movement of Farmers (HP) - announcing it would meet apart from the other opposition parties.

Spoločna Voľba blamed not only the ruling coalition but also the KDH for increasing political tensions. SDĽ Chairman Peter Weiss stated at a press conference that his party "sits firmly on its own opposition stool."
