Nitra to get private hospital

A new private hospital for cancer and cardiovascular diseases will begin operating before the end of 1996. The initial investment in the hospital, which has 80-90 beds, will be 100 million Sk and is fully covered by loans from domestic banks and Swiss companies. The medical equipment was supplied by Siemens in the form of supplier's credit. The new hospital will create 250 new jobs.

On Wednesday, Slovak literature will be presented in one of the biggest bookstores in London. Among the new books translated into English is also the anthology of current Slovak prose selected and translated by Magdalena Mullek and Júlia Sherwood.
